NEW bike service plan
AN INDUSTRY-LEADING 3-YEAR TUNE-UP PLAN WITH ALL NEW BIKE PURCHASES
the benefit of buying at backcountry
We offer an industry-leading 3 YEARS of complimentary tune-ups on all new bike purchases
Most specialty bike shops offer a basic complimentary service plan with the purchase of a new bicycle (a key distinction between buying at a bike shop versus mass merchants like Wal-Mart or Costco). Backcountry Bike & Ski goes a step further with professional assembly, a proper bike fitting AND follow-up tuning/adjustments for a full 3 years after purchase.
All bicycles, whether they cost $150 or $10,050, will go through a break-in period that requires attention from a professional mechanic to function properly over the long run. Your new bike has never been ridden before, so when you squeeze your brakes or shift gears the first few hundred times, the steel controller cables will naturally stretch a little. Because this stretch will alter the original adjustment, you may notice a change to the precision of your shifting, or your brakes may feel less responsive than when you first purchased the bike. Adjustments may be necessary due to the normal forces at work as you operate your new bike.
Service plans at other bicycle shops are often limited to a “30-day free tune-up” or a “complimentary 100-mile service.” The reality? Bikes don’t know time, and often the break-in of brakes occurs at a different rate than for shifters. That’s why Backcountry’s service commitment includes 3 years of complimentary tune-ups and adjustments; no strings attached.

take care of your bike and your bike will take care of you.
Bikes are machines, and like any machine, they need regular TLC to perform their best. Simple habits like keeping your tires inflated and your chain lubed go a long way toward keeping your ride smooth and reliable.
At Backcountry Bikes, we’ll help you stay self-sufficient with tips on maintenance and basic repairs. Prefer to leave it to the pros? No problem. We recommend a tune-up once or twice a year, depending on how often you ride. Our service department offers tune-ups and repairs tailored to your bike’s needs.
For new bikes, tune-ups are complimentary for three years after purchase (parts like cables, chains, and housing not included).
Free estimates, always. Because happy bikes = happy rides.
