We sponsor a number of events throughout the year to promote and support an active cycling and skiing community in our area. Keep an eye out for shop rides like our regular cruiser rides in the summer, sponsored events like the Talkeetna TRIO or Palmer’s winter speaker series, and signature events like our annual Palmer Classic.

SKI 101: Beginner nordic ski clinic

This free, indoor event is a relaxed demonstration and Q&A - no registration required. Our experienced guides will cover what to wear & essential things to know for the Ski 101 CLASS on December 13 (weather permitting), as well as upcoming Adult Ski Lesson info. It’s the perfect way to get ready for ski season, meet fellow skiers and ask all your pre-season questions!

Palmer Classic

(Typically the first Saturday in June)
With 25 mile, 50 mile, or 100 mile options, the Palmer Classic has been a staple cycling event for the area since 2012. A non-timed, non-competitive event starting in downtown Palmer, the Palmer Classic is fun for the whole family.
2026 registration will go live on April 1st, 2026 to the first 250 participants. Please note: There is no on-site registration, so be sure to register early. Visit our facebook page for the latest event updates.

Since 2014, this vibrant fusion of Nordic skiing + costume party has attracted individuals of all genders and skiing skill levels. It’s a celebration that embraces everyone, fostering a lively and inclusive community. You won’t want to miss the fun!
The Mat-Su Ski Club continues its tradition of supporting a local organization through the “Ski for Women” event. Last year’s beneficiary was AWAIC (Abused Women’s Aid in Crisis). AWAIC is dedicated to providing shelter, advocacy, and vital resources to women and children affected by domestic violence, helping them find safety and rebuild their lives. Directing proceeds to AWAIC doesn’t just contribute to a cause; it joins hands to create a safer, more compassionate community, empowering women to rise above their challenges.
AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION’S CLEAN AIR CHALLENGE
