We sponsor a number of events throughout the year to promote and support an active cycling and skiing community in our area. Keep an eye out for shop rides like our regular cruiser rides in the summer, sponsored events like the Talkeetna TRIO or Palmer’s winter speaker series, and signature events like our annual Palmer Classic.

Talkeetna TRIO Fat bike world championships
SAT. MARCH 15, 2025
The 2025 Trio is on for March 15th! This year's event will again feature the 12mi section of trails located in the XY Lakes area for the longer course (approx. 32mi loop) as well as our now-legendary 20mi party loop. We are bringing back the "Time Out" at Shangri La, so stop and enjoy the bonfire and festivities as long as you like without losing time! After the event, co-sponsor Denali Brewing will be brewing a special beer and providing catering, while the band Sazon takes the stage at the Sheldon Arts Hangar. Limited to 200 racers.
Palmer Classic

With 25 mile, 50 mile, or 100 mile options, the Palmer Classic has been a staple cycling event for the area since 2012. A non-timed, non-competitive event starting in downtown Palmer, the Palmer Classic is fun for the whole family.
2025 registration will go live on April 1st, 2025 to the first 250 participants. Please note: There is no on-site registration, so be sure to register early. Visit our facebook page for the latest event updates.

Since 2014, this vibrant fusion of Nordic skiing + costume party has attracted individuals of all genders and skiing skill levels. It’s a celebration that embraces everyone, fostering a lively and inclusive community. You won’t want to miss the fun!
This year, the Mat-Su Ski Club continues its tradition of supporting a local organization through the “Ski for Women” event. This year’s beneficiary is AWAIC (Abused Women’s Aid in Crisis). AWAIC is dedicated to providing shelter, advocacy, and vital resources to women and children affected by domestic violence, helping them find safety and rebuild their lives. Directing proceeds to AWAIC doesn’t just contribute to a cause; it joins hands to create a safer, more compassionate community, empowering women to rise above their challenges.
AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION’S CLEAN AIR CHALLENGE

Follow the renowned Talkeetna Spur Road and conquer the scenic Parks Highway with your choice of four fully supported ride lengths—100-mile, 60-mile, 26-mile, or a delightful 10-mile route—plus a new supported 5K Walk/Run. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist craving a new challenge or a novice rider eager to explore, sign up for a great experience and to help contribute to the fight for healthier lungs.
